But not for rubber farmers in Musi Banyuasin Regency at this time, they can already breathe a sigh of relief because their plantation products are absorbed at quite high prices through the Bokar Processing and Marketing Unit (UPPP) formed by the Muba Regency Government in each village.
Coupled with the innovation of the rubber asphalt factory of the Regent of Muba, Dr. H Dodi Reza Alex Noerdin, the results of people’s rubber can be absorbed at a price of Rp. 20,000 – Rp. 21,000 per kg when it becomes concentrated latex.This innovation made the Chairperson and members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Lahat Regency come directly to Muba Regency to learn about rubber asphalt innovation. Dodi, who is also the Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of South Sumatra Province, wants rubber farmers in South Sumatra to benefit from the rubber downstream program.
“For latex production we provide a centrifugal machine in the rubber cooperative unit in Muba Regency, from there we absorb the concentrated latex for the rubber asphalt factory,” he said when receiving an audience from the Lahat Regency KADIN Management, at Griya Bumi Serasan Sekate Guest House, Monday (1/2/2021). Muba Regent Dr H Dodi Reza Alex Noerdin Lic Econ MBA expressed his appreciation for the direct arrival of the Lahat KADIN management. This shows KADIN’s concern for the welfare of rubber farmers and MSMEs in Lahat Regency.
